Rudy and Sandy Soliz first came to Maine on our honeymoon in the summer of 1992.  Leaving Texas heat and enjoying the cool summers was a joy.  We started out during May doing typical tourist things like shopping in Freeport and Kittery.  Not being hotel  types we stayed in Bed and Breakfasts and became personal friends with a couple of the innkeepers.  In fact the father of one of the innkeepers was our real estate agent when we purchased the house in Bath.  Along with the outlet shopping, Sandy and I enjoy going to the many antique malls and shops.

Personal information about us.  I am a native Texan, grew up in South Central Texas (New Braunfels).  Currently I work for Houston Community College where I chair the business department.  Leisure time is spent with my Boston Terriers, Gordie and Thunder Bucket, and following Texas A&M athletes. Sandy is from Western Pennsylvania.  She is the Marketing and Communications Director at the University of St. Thomas.   Her leisure time is spent gardening.

I have a personal quest to find “the best lobster pounds and best lobster rolls”.  I subscribe to Downeast Magazine which has recommended several places to enjoy the Maine lobster.   We have included some of the places where we like to eat on our web page.
